1. Apply a base coat to protect your nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish
2. Apply one coat of your lightest colour as a base for your gradient and allow to dry
3. Paint a stripe of each of your colours side by side on a makeup sponge and overlap them a little to blend them. While wet, roll the sponge across the nail to get right to the edges. Repeat as many times as necessary for full opacity
4. Once dry, apply a glitter top coat to add some sparkly and to help blend the colours
5. Using a thin nail art brush and a black polish, paint a small arc at the bottom corner of your nail, then paint three lines extending out from this arc to the tips of your nail
6. Join these three lines together near the tip of your nail with small curved lines, and fill in the space above
7. Add small dots with a dotting tool or toothpick to the black tips
8. Allow adequate time to dry before adding your topcoat to avoid smudging, and clean up around your nails with a q-tip or brush dipped in nail polish remover.
