Christmas Nail Art: Santa + Presents Tutorial

Hey everyone! I have yet another Christmas design for you all, but something much simpler today. This red and white present design is super easy, and I think the little Santa is just oh-so-cute! I'm not 100% happy with the execution of this mani, but I blame my white polish which is well overdue for a replacement! As always, read on for my tutorial!

What I Used:

- OPI Nail Envy Base Coat
- OPI Coca Cola Red
- OPI Black Onyx
- OPI Sorry I'm Fizzy Today
- Essie Blanc
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
- Dotting tool from winstonia
- Striping brush #2 from bornprettystore
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.

2. Apply two coats of red polish to all your nails except your ring fingers and allow to dry.

3. Using a thin brush and a white polish, paint a cross on each of your nails, excluding the ring fingers. The cross should be slightly off-centre, with the horizontal line about a centimetre away from the cuticle.

4. Create the bow on your presents by carefully painting two small ovals in the two squares you've created closest to your cuticle, meeting in the centre of your cross. Then add two thin, diagonal lines extending out from the centre of the cross.

5. Moving on to your Santa accent nail, paint the bottom third of your nail (bottom = cuticle end) red. Don't worry about getting a smooth line because this will be covered in white.

6. Using a dotting tool and a white polish, add a row of white dots across the bottom of your red semi-circle, and then extend this line down both sides of the nail and across the top third, filling in to the tip with white. This should leave you with a roughly rectangular shaped space of bare nail in the centre for the face, and a white beard at the tips.

7. Using a smaller dotting tool, add two small black dots in the centre of the face for the eyes, and a pink dot where the face meets the beard for the nose.

8. Once everything is dry, finish with a top coat to seal in your design. Cleanup with a brush or cottonbud dipped in polish remover, and you're done!

I hope you guys liked this tutorial, please let me know if you try it out for yourself, and I'll see you all soon with some more nail art, as usual :)
