Blue Geometric Print Tutorial

Hey guys! Today I've got a very on-trend geometric design to show you, which I think would look great in an infinite number of colour combinations. Striping tape is perfect for these kinds of designs, you could make your own by cutting up some regular tape into tiny strips but ain't nobody got time for that, just buy some! It's ridiculously cheap and one roll lasts FOREVER, so go check out ebay, TradeMe or bornprettystore.com. As always, read on for the tutorial!

What I Used:

- OPI Ridge Filler Base Coat
- OPI Alpine Snow
- OPI Keeping Suzi At Bay
- OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
- OPI My Signature is DC
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
- Striping tape from bornprettystore
- Nail art brushes from winstonia
- Tweezers
- Scissors
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.

2. Cut up some strips of striping tape, three or four per nail, and just longer than the length of your nails.

3. Paint your nails one coat of a white polish and allow to dry completely. You can apply a fast-drying top coat here to speed up the process.

4. Take your strips of tape and arrange them on your nail, overlapping one another in a pattern made up of triangles. Once you're happy with your arrangement, smooth the tape down firmly so no polish will seep underneath.

5. Using a small nailart brush dipped in one of your three chosen colours, fill in a couple of triangles on your nail. Do the same with another brush and your other colours until all the spaces are coloured in. Try to separate the colours so triangles of the same colour are not directly next to each other, and work one nail at a time so the polish won't dry too much before you remove the tape.

6.  Once you've filled in all your triangles, carefully remove the pieces of tape with some tweezers or your fingers. If your lines aren't quite as clean as you'd like, dip your brush into the white polish and go over any messy lines.

7. As always, clean up around your nails with polish remover and a brush or cottonbud, and finish off your nails with a layer of top coat for protection and shine.

Easy peasy, no hand-painting required! Try it out for yourself in another colour combination and let me know how it turns out, I'd love to see! Feel free to comment below or on Facebook or Instagram, and I'll see you next time!
