Blue and Silver Ruffian Manicure

Hey guys! I was feeling like something simple yet pretty when I did these nails and I think I made a good choice! This design is called a ruffian mani, and looks fantastic in almost any colour combination. Read my tutorial below to find out how to get this look, no-tools required :)

What I Used:

- OPI Ridge Filler Base Coat
- OPI My Car Has Navy-Gation
- OPI Shine For Me
- HK Girl Glisten and Glow Top Coat
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.

2. Paint your nails two coats of a silver glittery polish (or any colour of your choice) and allow to dry.

3. With your second colour, just using the brush from the bottle, carefully paint over the silver but starting about half a centimeter away from the cuticle. Its easier to get a smooth curve if you have a decent amount of polish on the brush. If you struggle with getting a smooth line free-hand, using french-tip guides is an easy alternative.

4. Allow to dry before finishing with a layer of top coat to smooth out the line between two polishes. As always, clean up around your nails with polish remover and a cottonbud or brush.

So simple! If you're in need of a quick and classy mani for a night out or to throw an outfit together this is definitely a great option. Let me know if you try this, or any of my designs, out for yourself and leave a comment below. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time!
