Vintage Lace Stamping Tutorial

Hey guys! Today I've got this very girly lacey look to share with you, stamped over this gorgeous pastel lavender that is Purple Palazzo Pants from the new OPI Venice collection. I think the combination of the lace and the pastel gives this look a pretty vintage vibe that I'm really liking at the moment. Read on to find out how to get this look for yourself :)

What I Used:

- OPI Ridge Filler Base Coat
- OPI Purple Palazzo Pants
- OPI Alpine Snow
- HK Girl Glisten and Glow Top Coat
- Stamper, scraper and image plate BP-02 from bornprettystore
- Cottonbuds
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.

2. Paint your nails with two coats of a pastel polish and allow to dry, then apply a fast-drying top coat.

3. Once your nails are completely dry (about 20 mins later if you used a fast-drying top coat) it's time to stamp. Apply some white polish to your image plate, scrape off the excess with the scraper, and pick up the image by rolling your stamper firmly over the painted plate.

4. Line up your stamper head with your nail where you want the image to go, and press the stamper onto your nail with a rolling motion to ensure maximum coverage. If your image didn't transfer properly, gently wipe off the stamped design from your nail with a cottonbud dipped in polish remover and try again.

5. Once you're happy with your design, cleanup around your nails with polish remover and a cottonbud or brush, and finish with a fast-drying top coat.

Stamping is a little tricky at first, but once you get the technique down its SO much faster than hand-painting, and there are thousands of designs to choose from! Let me know if you try out stamping for yourself, and I'll see you next time!
