Yin Yang Tutorial
Hey guys! Today I've got this black and white yin yang design for you that is super quick and easy to do (it took me about half an hour - practically no time at all for me!) Read on for my tutorial to see how to get this look for yourselves :)
What I Used:
- OPI Nail Envy Base Coat
- OPI Alpine Snow
- OPI Black Onyx
- Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
- Striping brush #2 from bornprettystore
- Dotting tool from winstonia
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush
1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.
2. Next, apply two coats of your favourite white polish and allow to dry.
3. Using a thin nail art brush dipped in a black polish, paint a backwards 'S' shape down the centre of your nail, and then fill in the right side with black.
4. Using a dotting tool, make a large black dot in the centre of the rounded part of the white side of your nail, then clean your dotting tool and do the same with a white dot on the black side.
5. Leave your nails to dry for about 10 minutes before adding a top coat to avoid smudging. Applying your top coat in a thick layer will help, as the brush won't drag the polish underneath.
6. As always, clean up any polish on your skin around your nails with polish remover and a brush or cottonbud.
Now wasn't that really easy? I think these turned out pretty snazzy for such a simple design, proving that less really is more sometimes! What do you guys want to see next? Easter nailart? Watermarble? Something sparkly? Comment below any suggestions you might have, and I'll see you next time!
