Strawberry Nails
Hey guys! Today I've got this cute and easy strawberry design to share with you guys, inspired by cutepolish but I made them a little different :) Read my tutorial below to see how to get this look for yourselves...
What I Used:
- OPI Ridge Filler Base Coat
- OPI Romantically Involved
- OPI Jade Is The New Black
- OPI I Just Can't Copeacabana
- HK Girl Glisten and Glow Top Coat
- Striping brush from bornprettystore
- Nail polish remover and cleanup brush
1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails from stains and provide a smooth base for polish.
2. Paint your nails two coats of a bright red polish and allow to dry (Optional: applying a fast drying top coat at this point will allow you to wipe off any mistakes you make with your later details without ruining your base polish!)
3. Using a thin nail art brush and a green polish, paint on the leaves of the strawberries by making three small triangles near the cuticle end of your nail and joining them together. The leaves should take up roughly a third of your nail. You may need to go over it a few times to make sure the green is fully opaque over the red and all the spaces are filled in.
4. Clean your brush and then dip the very end of it in a yellow polish. Add seeds to your strawberry by very gently touching the tip of your brush to the red portion of your nail to create the seed shape. You can add as many or as few seeds as you like, just try to space them out evenly over your nail.
5. Allow to dry before carefully adding a top coat to avoid smudging your work. As always, clean up any mess with polish remover and a brush or cottonbud.
Easy peasy! If you have any suggestions for other designs you'd like me to do, or any thoughts you have on any of my tutorials, please leave a comment down below because I'd love to hear from you guys! Thanks for reading, and I'll see ya next time!
